Re: Download figures

I recognise that any statistics are going to be inaccurate but please could we have some? It's encouraging to know that somebody's listening to our work and broad trends (eg twice as many views as four years ago) can be informative.

Re: solo [ENGLISH] The Guermantes Way by Marcel Proust - vik

I have now uploaded Dedications (Like one of Chaucer's pilgrims, I'm afraid I speak French "as it is spoken in Stratford on Bow"!) and Section 1.

The Human Voicebank

VocaliD is an organisation that is seeking volunteers to contribute their voices to help build up a database for text to speech generating machines such as Stephen Hawking uses. The link is vocalid.co/voicebank# for those interested. A friend of ours has a 6 year old daughter who uses such a device....

Re: solo [ENGLISH] The Guermantes Way by Marcel Proust

Should I not mention the translator? I know I named him at the start of every section of Within a Budding Grove. I think he should be mentioned at least at the start of Section 00 and at the end of the final section.

Re: solo [ENGLISH] The Guermantes Way by Marcel Proust

I'm having difficulty uploading. I've tried both my Legamus password and my Magic Window password but neither work for the uploading screen.

Re: How to download

When I click on download from that page it plays the section but I don't think it downloads. Maybe I'm just being stupid but I can't find a new file on my computer that I can move to my MP3 player.

Do we have any figures as to how many downloads there have been from Legamus?

How to download

So far as I can work out, we can either play Legamus files on our computers or download a whole book as a zip file and then open it. Is there a way to download chapters/sections rather than a whole book so that they can be listened to on a MP3 player? The book I recorded is nearly 27 hours long whic...

It's not PD in the United Kingdom but is PD in the rest of Europe.

Book of Common Prayer and KJV

The King James translation of the Bible (also known as the KJV, the Authorised Version or the AV), and the Book of Common Prayer, are under Royal Prerogative in the United Kingdom. This is not technically the same as copyright but works in much the same way. It means that, while they are public doma...

Re: COMPLETE ENG [Solo] Within a Budding Grove by Proust - h

Thank you very much for all your hard work and I'm sorry that my volumes were so variable. I like the cover but can we change the text so it reads: Within a Budding Grove By Marcel Proust Read by Andrew Coleman ? Sorry to be conceited and want my name included but it's my first ever solo so it's spe...

Re: Eng[Solo] Within a Budding Grove by Proust - hok

I've just prooflistened to the 50.07 version of Section 5. I'm so glad I'm now using a "pop" shield, that old recording was full of pops that I'd not been able to edit out but, despite that, it seems PL OK to me.

...and I'm looking forward to hearing Virgil and Corvo, Martin. Thank you for all the proof-reading you've done for me. I reckon I owe you a madeleine cake! I don't know how the cover image is created. I was wondering about a Monet seascape/seashore scene. I've found The Boardwalk at Trouville on Wi...

Re: Eng[Solo] Within a Budding Grove by Proust - hok

I listened to Neville Jason's abridged recordings as they were released, about 20 years ago, and thought those two books were a dull slog, but I read those volumes (Penguin translation) soon after my ex-fiancee had died suddenly and a mutual friend had told me that my late ex had once made a pass at...
