Thank you. I'm relieved I didn't mispronounce "Robert de Saint-Loup" - that would have been embarrassing!
Section 22 uploaded at http://ge.tt/7X4oaeR/v/0

I'm planning to go back and correct the Charlus and Villeparisis mispronunciations in earlier sections once I've completed all the Place-Names: the Place sections.

Best wishes to you too. I've finally got round to correcting the mispronunciation of Charlus in Section 12. It's reuploaded at http://ge.tt/9DffCnU/v/0 and is at 14.56.
I've just been reading about Francoise always mishearing the name Sazerat as Sazerin. I can relate to that - no matter how many times I've heard a name I can still get it wrong!

Section 24 is now uploaded at http://ge.tt/1S5tznV/v/0
34.6MB
37.49mins.
This passage includes bits of French poetry, lists of names and some Yiddish words so I would be surprised if I didn't mispronounce something.

Hi

Section 24 is PL all OK. The only noticeable departure from conventional pronunciation was the Yiddish word Schlemihl, where you stressed the first syllable. It is said as "shle-MEAL" - but I don't think it matters enough to change it.

Again thank you for checking, Martin. I think it's best to let that mispronunciation through. Hopefully those who notice will either not care or record their own version.

Hi

Section 25: there's one repeated passage to be edited out -

@23:31 "It would surely be difficult for her to find another man who would consent to anything of the sort."

Otherwise all PL OK.

Thank you for doing that Martin. Can I ask a pronunciation question? How should I pronounce "Carquethuit"? Proust invented the place name so I can't find a pronunciation online. John Rowe seems to switch between CARK-twee and CARK-uh-twee. I haven't yet found Neville Jason's pronunciation. I don't think it matters that much so long as I pick a plausible pronunciation and stick to it. My preference is CARK-twee but what do you think?

Hi

The second of your two alternatives is nearer, but make the 'uh' syllable very short indeed, and the first syllable shouldn't be stressed. (British English speakers tend to overstress initial syllables in French, whereas Americans hammer the final syllable; generally the French skitter along without much syllabic emphasis.)

Can someone kindly upload section 1 through 11 to ge.tt? The old link on free.fr does not work. Thanks a lot.
