OK, here goes nothing! I've had to split the chapters up further (um, short attention span, and when I go back to a chapter I've part-recorded, my voice always sounds very different. So here's: Section 1- Chapter 1 Part 1 of The Great Gatsby. Hopefully, if I can do at least a section a day (I'll need to revise how many sections I'll need now- 20 I think) I'll be finished in no time!

Oh, and uploading was easier than I expected it to be! :D

Hi Cat,

Great choice of book. I was so excited when this first became PD in the UK.
I would love to be your DPL, if you like?

Thank you Alex. That'd be great! I think I've already noticed a mistake in Section 1, so I'll re-upload that tonight. :D

Great! We're moving to "Readers Found"!

About the "Magic Window". We don't have our own system for that yet (it's likely to come in some months). For the moment, we use a spreadsheet on Google Docs. It's no problem for me to make one, however this is a solo project with one dedicated PL. Do you want one? or are you fine with a simple list of files and PL status in the first post, or even just the stream of messages: "here's the next chapter" - "PL ok" ?

I'm sure I'll survive without one! :D Makes life easier! Might be a bit longer with Chapter 1. I'm rerecording all of it! :)

Thanks! One more question: CC0 is the right license? That's the one that resembles most the public domain. (I somehow remember someone choosing BY-NC-ND for a solo, but I don't find him/her any more...)

Sorry. BY-NC-ND was my license. I changed it last minute. I though I might as well release it to almost PD because all of my other recordings are! :)

Cat switched to BY-NC-SA. I updated the first post to the suggested disclaimer for BY-NC-SA.

Just so that you know that I haven't gone into hibernation, I don't have a lot of time to record at the moment. With any luck, chapter 1 will be up by Sunday :D

I spent the entire weekend going "I'll record on Sunday. I'll record on Sunday" I wake up this morning. I have a sore throat and I kinda sound like a bullfrog! Grr. Why must the world be against me?! I'll record when I get better!
