Yes! She really does see so much in people.
Section 10 is ready. Time Passes, so quickly.

And the second/final part of that book is also up.

Re: solo [ENGLISH] To The Lighthouse by Virginia Woolf - hok
Section 10 is PL OK (of course). It sounded like poetry rather than prose to my ears, well done! The rude shocks stopped me from being lulled to sleep by the flow of images.

Section 11 is PL OK. I think I appreciated it most of all those I've listened to so far. Perhaps it's the Mrs McNabb in me?

I've not read everything Woolf wrote, but I saw somewhere her defending not writing about working-class characters ... Mrs McNabb snuck in anyway. I liked the different feel of these parts, both distant and close-up together, but I did then spend the rest of the book grieving Mrs Ramsay.
Section 12 is done ... onto the home straight!

Section 12 (Lily takes the cake for introspection) is PL OK.
Today, I was with a friend who used to lecture in literature and is developing glaucoma. I tried to persuade her to try audiobooks. Pfui!, she said, or something to that effect. So I plugged her ears into my Walkman and let her listen to a bit of your Section 12. It's good! she said, twice, involuntarily, before I snatched the Walkman back from her.

Oh, that's hard on her to be struggling with printed text after a lifetime immersed in it. Lovely that she might consider exploring audiobooks perhaps, though. I tend to forget how big that divide can be for people who've not listened to them before. But there are so many options, given the variety of radio performances and readings, commercial audiobooks, podcasts, and of course us! (Also, )
Sections 13 and 14 are ready, getting ever closer to the lighthouse.

Re: solo [ENGLISH] To The Lighthouse by Virginia Woolf - hok
Thanks. Section 15 was my second favorite section so far - what a gift for description of the exterior world Woolf has. PL OK.
Re: solo [ENGLISH] To The Lighthouse by Virginia Woolf - hok
And 16 is done ... I'm sorry it's so long, the chapters didn't really divide in any better way.

Please have a look, it's not on the front page yet:

Barbara, do you want to be listed with your full name instead of your nickname?
Do we have a cover yet? Would any of you like to create one? Of course this can be added any time later, too.
