This is very fine, file name or tag changes are trivial - I just have to be aware of them. So writing them in the MW is the best way indeed.

Grrrr! I have had this problem before. It happens sometimes (I think it's because I don't have a lot of space on my computer) where it makes little skips.

yeah such technical problems happen sometimes. Before starting recording you might check your hard disk space available ... even defracmentation might help :D !
