Have a good 2015 !

Post by Viktor »

This year just ended with our 50th published audiobook. I hope that everybody has a nice Silvester evening and a most happy new year!

In case you wonder what new texts we can record in 2015, here are some ideas:

I like the idea of recording the "Jataka Tales" by Noor Inayat Khan very much!

And yes, I will try to get some information about current downloads. "listen.legamus.eu" emits around 150 GB per month.

No famous names except Saint-Exupéry, from what I see at first glance. There will be interesting things to explore, I bet. Let's see what new texts Gutenberg DE has in the next days. They always have works prepared. Interesting translations maybe.

Hurray on 50 books!

Very best wishes for 2015!

After a dismal and unproductive 2014, I am determined to return to the microphone and give the world my reading of that landmark biography, The Quest for Corvo. It doesn't help that, very near my home, a heavy plant hire company has greatly expanded its business; so that my neighbourhood is continually traversed by their roaring vehicles. One always has the option of getting up at 4 in the morning...

Krzysztof Kamil Baczyński was a war-time poet killed during the Warsaw Uprising. I know nothing about his poetry, though, despite him being rather famous in Poland.
Irvin Cobb was a prolific writer from what I read about him, but again I know little about his work, only that his short horror story "Fishhead" was praised by Lovecraft in "Supernatural Horror in Literature".

Yeah :D Hooray to us, because it was us that made it possible :!:

I'd be up for that. :D It's such a coincidence, I saw her name for the first time just a few hours ago. The BBC World Service recently aired a documentary about her war work. I've downloaded but not yet listened.
