6 is REALLY fast, Nadine, isn't it? I listened to it last night. I may redo that after all the other chapters are done. I am always having to consciously slow myself down
Hmm, I did not notice, it did not strike me (and I'm a non native speaker). You speak very articulately, so it is no problem at all... You could try and just change the tempo or the speed (there's two effects in Audacity, one supposedly works well, but I can't remember which).

It's the tempo Nadine. It alters the speed without affecting the voice.
OMG, just tried that. how amazing! I just lengthened chapter 8 after taking out the hiccup, Nadine. I am going to apply the same to 6 and reupload. Thank you Nadine and Carol!
Cathy,
please tell me when you have uploaded the new files, so I have the right ones for cataloging. The files don't last long on ge.tt and I collect them on my computer.
It's not the google doc, but the audio files on ge.tt. They only last 3 month after the last download. This will be solved maybe this year when we have our own uploader. For the finished and cataloged files, Viktor backs up everything and re-uploads if necessary.
It's all very hand made here. Dnd I appreciate much more what we have on LV and what Archive.org does for LV. I wished there was something like archive in a life+70 place.
The link to chapter 6 is chapter 8 at the moment. could you please check?
I have a question about ge.tt. I occasionally can't get the link to show up in Google Docs as active. It stays black and when I click on it, it won't download the file. As I say, this has happened a few times. Any tips on this? I apologize if there's a forum on the site that addresses this. I couldn't find it.
I have the same problem sometimes. I think it's google, not ge.tt
Haven't found a solution for it. But when you copy the link from the doc into the URL field of the browser it works. Only a bit inconvenient.

For me, I cannot "copy" the link from the Google doc if it is just text. I have to type the link manually. Inconvenient indeed! Google seems to be very picky about links. Could it be that there is a trailing white space after the link? That might cause Google to interpret the table cell as a normal text, not as a link.
