The series was less romanticized and more realistic than the Anne novels. Montgomery considered Emily to be a character much closer to her own personality than Anne, and some of the events which occur in the Emily series happened to Montgomery herself. (Wikipedia)

HI, ashleighjane :)
I can be your DPL. I loved the "Anne" books when I was 11. Volume one was our set text, but I read all the available volumes. Now, 20 years later, it will be interesting to listen to a "more realistic Anne". :)

And I can be your MC. What would you like as a MW: a Google Doc, an EditGrid document (Hokuspokus found that as an alternative) - or just a short list in the first post or nothing at all, given that it is a solo and you are "alone" with your DPL?
