About the sound itself: The white noise that would make me decide on a noise-cleaning pass is present in both cases, but the sound depth is different, so I think that the previous two sections, that had more depth, give a better sound. So I'm thinking this white noise is not affected so much by the Ambience setting?

Ok, I re-engineered all three files. I turned Ambience back up for section 5 to where it was for 3 and 4, and I did a noise-cleaning pass on all three. The content of all three is unchanged, so PL isn't necessary, but please have a quick listen to a bit of all three and tell me if the depth is still there and if these are better than the first ones.

If you think these are better, let's use them; otherwise, just discard them and we'll stay with the first set.

I can't access the MW either. The link just hangs on a white screen until it times out.

All three new sections are PL OK! (Thank you! Wonderful story-telling from both of you!) and I think I've managed to updated the Magic window.

The MW was not available for a few days, not my fault .... that just happens sometimes when using free webspace servers, sorry ... it seems to work fine now, - again.
Don't worry about loss of data though, Viktor gets a back-up of them once a day

That was more of a moving story than horror... Quite touching.

Somewhere at 09:43, where the text is "I have seen", it sounds as "I have steen", if you'd like to edit that. I experimented with cutting out the t-sound between 09:43.80-09:43.90 and that worked pretty well! So, it might not require re-recording, if you decide to edit at all. Your call!

I've just finished recording part 2 of "Rats...". Some fragments were... hard I wonder if HPL ever bothered to read his stories aloud?

Thanks for the suggestion and finding the exact location of the t sound! I made the same cut and it does seem to work. Here's the edited file:

I'm interested. I seem to be on a Lovecraft binge lately, and these 20-minute pieces are enormous fun to do. I'll be sorry when there aren't any more

If you want to open up volume 3, I'll happily keep going.
