Homage To Catalonia by George Orwell (*1903 - † 1950)

George Orwell, writer of amongst other books, "The Road To Wigan Pier", "Animal Farm", and "Nineteen Eighty-Four" also fought in the Spanish Civil War (1936 - 1939). In this book "Homage To Catalonia", Orwell records his battle training, fighting for the Republican side during the conflict, getting shot and wounded, and his escape to France when the regiment he fought for, was declared illegal....

Hey, Adrian, since I'm not fully familiar with Legamus yet, what level of proofing are you wanting here, in LV terms - Standard? Word Perfect? something in between?

The PL is Lynette Caulkins from Librivox who says she's sent a message saying 'I've found the project and left a message, which it says won't be visible until a moderator approves it, as it's my first posting in Legamus. ' Will you help her please?

I got a good listen in on this yesterday, and found some places for you where there are fractional repeats. I'll list them in reverse order so the time stamps stay the same as you move through them:

26:24 "officers - s"
18:47 "much the same - ame"
14:28 "organized - d"
11:19 "School - ool"
8:00 (there is a click and a mid-sentence pause)
7:10 "repair - air"
4:46 "equal - qual"
2:06 "utter - ter"

(I actual wondered if you'd used a new editing program or something, because I don't remember ever catching this kind of thing on any of your files.)

I found the chapter very interesting! This book will be a great listen, so thanks for asking me if I'd like to DPL for it!

When I'm using the MW I sign in with my password and I can edit some columns but not the Notes column - I don't know if I should be able to, to leave a link to my Reply message. Also it still says Login at the foot of the table when I am logged in. There's no visible Save button and when I return to the window after closing it, my change to the Status column has returned to Assigned from Needs PL. I'm using Version 117.0.5938.88 (Official Build) (arm64) of Chrome but it doesn't behave any differently in Safari 16.6 (18615.3.12.11.2). Is it me?

Chapter 1 sounds really great now. I've marked it PL OK, and I have the other two queued. Sorry I missed those so far - I think the "Read" designator on them, versus the "Listen" on ch. 1 led me to ignore them until now.

I've found the MW line editing tool now, so I've properly edited what's been done so far. Should be less confusing for you in future.
