I'll probably come back and read some more here, when my LV commitments are a bit more under control!

PL notes:

Part 1, chapter 6: in the intro you said part 2, chapter 6

Part 1, chapter 10: PL OK!

Part 2, chapter 6: @ 9:27: I gave Jane Marden's a lemon rise should be lemon rinse
Thank you! You read very nicely :)
Guess what I finally got these edited! The second one sounds pretty bad as we have moved, so my set up is totally different and I am now recording from a mic on my laptop not my iPad. But I guess it will have to do! I edited it a little bit to make it sound less clear to go with the rest of the recording, but the background noise is bad for some reason The first one, part one, chapter 6 was easy as I just copied and pasted fro the end. I feel so guilty this took so long, I am really sorry, but it is done now :) *finger crossed*

The world is full of evil, and lies, and pain, and death, you can’t hide from it; you can only face it.
The question is, when you do,
how do you respond? Who do you become?

Welcome back! Part 1 Chapter 6 is now PL OK! :D
On Part 2 Chapter 6 I still hear "rise" instead of "rinse". Could you try again?

Thanks a lot! :)

36 is pl okay

37 - 39 have some problems, sorry.
it is so much fun listening to your changing voices :-) , but unfortunatelly especially loud parts crack massively ... in 37 and 38 it happens too often, to even list them properly.
At 39 I will add a list of spots.

Sorry

Oh, dear.
I'll listen and see if I can do anything to fix them, otherwise I'll redo those chapters. :) Thank you for letting me know!

I'll record some chapters!
I'm new to legamus but have done a couple of LV readings. Do I record with all the same settings? I'm being climbed on by a 1.5year old and can't concentrate enough to choose which chapters yet, but I will return! It would be a privilege to be part of an Anne recording!! :)

Welcome! :)
For the most part, the settings are the same. Just a few differences:
- you need to add the ID3 tags to every recording (that stopped being mandatory on Librivox a couple of years ago)
- you don't add the _128kb to the end of the file name
- we don't have the uploader password available in the forum, so I'll need to send it to you by private message, which I'll do tomorrow

I think that's it, though I could be forgetting something. Please feel free to ask if you've got any questions!

Great, thanks Rachel. I'll start with part 1, chps 5,7,8 and 9. I just have two short chapters to finish for an LV project and then I'll get onto it :)

Soooo, a funny thing...I was happily recording away, finished editing and then realised that this is in fact chapter 8 of PART 2, not part 1! But thankfully, no one had yet put their name down for that (and it was a hilarious chapter), so here it is! I haven't included the section part in the recording or the ID3 tags...let me know if that's a problem. There may be a few places where there is clipping, but overall the quality seems pretty good (just got a new mic). Let me know if there are any probs. Part 1 chp 8 soon to follow... :P

Thanks a lot! I will put this in the MW when it stops being mad at me (don't know what's the matter with it).

Part 2 Chapter 8 sounds fantastic!
(The best part was when she finished her pretty much chapter-long monologue and then she said "but I ain't one of the complaining sort". Excuse me?)

Just one thing - do you think you could change the intro and outro to say "Part 2, Chapter 8" rather than just "Chapter 8"? Otherwise it will be the same as Part 1 Chapter 8.

Thank you! :)

Glad you like it, isn't it a rollicking chapter?! Yep, I can change that. I'm still so excited that I get to contribute to an Anne project, haha.

Hi Rachel, just letting you know I haven't forgotten about this, but have had a head cold (and a nasally voice!) which has taken a few weeks to clear up. Just yesterday I was thinking my voice sounded normal again, but today I woke up all blocked up again. Woe is me (not really, but it means I won't be able to record just yet!). Anyhow...hopefully soon :)
