If that is ok, then I guess it's ready to catalogue.
Now how exactly do I do that? Anything beside moving it to completed projects?
A temporary blog is a very good way of keeping track of the recordings and presenting them to the public until our catalogue will be up and running. And you say you only have experience with Wordpress ... What's wrong with that?Hokuspokus wrote:5. We don't have a catalog yet. Viktor wants to build all the comfortable tools we have on LV (Hurray!!!) But until then I think we need something quick and easy, like a blog. Is some one in blogs? For the only thing I know is wordpress.
I have done some scribbling how it could possibly look. http://ge.tt/#9irE315
The blog thing is just for the first month until we have a database and everything.
Ah, Walpurgisnacht was PLed by Elli, really. I wanted some real data, didn't want to write blablabla all over the page.neckertb wrote:Now that I've had some time to look at kattekliek's and HP's suggestions with regard to the catalogue, I have to admit that I like HP's a lot! A blog would work too, but HP gave it a lot of thought already, you can tell! prooflistened by Elli, really?
Strange, because it homepage describes how to change the volume. That does not work?neckertb wrote:Thanks for diggin, Vitkor. The mp3gain program for Mac that you list actually only gives you the volume, but does not allow you to change it (I had tried this one a while ago).
Are you comfortable with the command-line? Alternatively, one might be able to get a command-line version of mp3gain and use that. The original mp3gain is a multi-platform command-line program, the rest is just GUIs for that.MacMP3Gain homepage wrote: Additionally, the new "iTunes Plus" files may be corrupted by the current version of aacgain (the underlying program included in MacMP3Gain). Please make backup copies of your music library before running MacMP3Gain.
Yeah, it's quite hard to find your way around at first. Try this link: http://legamus.wordpress.com/wp-admin/o ... eneral.php - the "Just another ..." thingy should be on the second line and you can change it to whatever you like.Hokuspokus wrote:The blog is up http://legamus.wordpress.com/
This can all be deleted and made undone.
Wordpress is not as flexible as I would like. There are some minor un-nice things, I will try to get rid off. For example the "Just another WordPress.com site" line. Haven't found all buttons yet. Still need to find out where and how to add the copyright warning.
The things one can change depend very much on the theme, you use. We can surely make it look better in the final catalog.
Comments and ideas welcome.
I think you need to register with Wordpress (if not already done previously) and then HP can assign you as co-author of the blog. HP, I'ld like to be in too (my Wordpress name is also 'kattekliek')neckertb wrote:Do we have a common login/password for this? Or should I create my own account?
